Winter Music Festival - What a hoot!

The inaugural Bello Winter Music Festival finished just a few days ago, and proved to be a resounding success. In fact, tickets for Saturday sold out, and organisers had to hold back a disappointed throng who could not fit into the Memorial Hall for the headline act, The Milk Carton Kids, on Saturday night.

“Be Part of the Story”
That is the slogan for the Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival. When it began 4 years ago, in April 2011, the organisers had the idea that it would not only feature prominent writer’s talking about their publications, but that it would also focus on the readers and budding writers amongst them. Basically, they wanted people to get involved and “be part of the story” not just listen to it.

Our favourite walk

We live in one of the most picturesque spot in Australia, and we don’t get tired of it… Our favourite walk takes us “around the loop road”, 12 km of beautiful landscapes. We walk through forest, accross bridges and along undulating paddocks with the escarpment as a backdrop.
