Memorial Hall Memories

The Memorial Hall is central in the town, and has been a central part of its life, since it was opened on Anzac Day 25th April 1929. For me personally it holds many wonderful memories. So many festivals, concerts, cabarets, art exhibitions, film festivals, workshops and dances.

Sculpture in the Park

If you’ve enjoyed Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney, or the Swell Exhibition on the Gold Coast, you’ll be interested to know that there’s another new sculpture exhibition on the mid-north coast of NSW.
2016 is the third year this SCULPTURE IN THE PARK event has been held in the beautiful riverside park in Urunga, and this year’s event was better than ever!!

Gumbaynggirr Bush Tucker Heritage
Bellingen Shire is located within the traditional lands of the Gumbaynggirr Nation. The area is rich with bush tucker from the tablelands, through rainforest valleys, to the sea. You can learn more about our local bush tucker from Gumbaynggirr Elders who run regular bush tucker tours at the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre and in Bongil Bongil National Park
